Hi, I’m Jess, and I’m an artist.

The Purple Crayon is essentially a luxury home decor, made to order artwork, interior design slanted, boutique. If that sounds convoluted, it’s because it is. That’s just a formal way of saying that I like making stuff that adds beauty and joy to people’s lives. Think of it as Interior Design For the Soul.

You can browse through the abridged collection of past projects on the Portfolio page of this site. Any and all work I create is made to order & specifically tailored to your taste. The portfolio pictures are intended to give you a sense of the variety of products and services available.

Additionally, I offer private lessons and portfolio review. (I should probably mention I hold a Masters Degree in Art and Art Education from Columbia University with a decade of teaching experience - I’m not just some rando you’re letting in your house).

Long story short, If it falls in the category of “work for the creatives”, I can do it. I’m just a facilitator, you’re the actual artist.

Why The Purple Crayon?

CROCKETT JACKSON’S CLASSIC, “HAROLD AND THE PURPLE CRAYON”, IS THE STORY OF A YOUNG BOY WHO FINDS A PURPLE CRAYON AND USES IT TO DRAW HIS FANTASIES, WHICH INSTANTLY MANIFEST IN TO REALITY.

IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE A KIDS’ BOOK, BUT THE CONCEPT OF USING YOUR IMAGINATION TO TURN YOUR DREAMS INTO REALITY VIA ART IS A MESSAGE FOR KIDS AND ADULTS ALIKE.

THAT IS THE CONCEPT AT THE HEART OF PURPLE CRAYON ART; IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, YOU CAN HAVE IT….SO WHY WOULDN’T YOU?
